Hey there! So, I had the most amazing branding shoot with residential interior designer Tessy. We’ve been planning this for a while, and I was super excited to capture her incredible talent and her intuitive designs.
If you’re not familiar with what a branding shoot is, it’s a way for professionals to showcase their talent and passion for something they do, whether it’s for their website, social media, or any other platform they use to promote themselves. And let me tell you, Tessy nailed it!
As a headshots and lifestyle Nottingham photographer, my goal with this shoot was to capture Tessy in a way that showcased her skills while also reflecting her style. We wanted the photos to look natural and effortlessly beautiful – no stiff poses or fake smiles. We decided to shoot in some of Tessy’s favorite spaces that she had designed, which added an honest touch to the photos. In her own words Tessy explains her process:
“I aim to make interior design affordable and help my clients in the decision-making process to ensure their renovations and builds remain fun and stress-free. I provide them with all the information they need to implement their schemes so that they can hand this information over to their trades. This means the clients have less admin to do, and the trades have a clear plan to work towards and can get on with it on their own, which avoids unnecessary stress and miss-communications”
One of my favorite things about working with Tessy was how she effortlessly brought her personality into the shoot. She has such a calm presence, and it shone during the process. We incorporated some of her interior designs – the space she designed with so much love – you can see it in the photos.
I truly believe that personal branding is crucial, regardless of the industry you’re in. It allows people to connect with you on a deeper level and really understand what makes you stand out from the crowd. It’s shining light on what you believe in. On your IDEA.
